SAN FRANCISCO
The last part of my first American trip ends up in San Francisco. Its hilly predisposition gives a different perspective to any peak at the city and its compact size makes it ideal for a short visit. It's easy to get lost as much of the urban architecture is similar but few landmarks help finding your way around anytime.
There's no shortage of touristic spots. Some can be avoided, like Pier 39 or Ghirardelli Square, some are a must, like a walk to the Golden Gate or a boat trip to Alcatraz. Walking through the city's neighbourhoods like Haight & Ashbury, China Town and Little Italy is refreshing as the landscape is mesmerising, the choices of food and drinks are endless and there's not really anything bad to say about them.

It's one of those places that become homely after few hours and it really feels like you could move there for good. Needless to say that I left my heart in San Francisco.
