CHANDIGAR
A day trip to Chandigar, the wealthiest city in India and for sure one of the most fascinating and unexpected. The entire urban planning and designing has been done and curated by Le Corbusier, who followed his ideals of the perfect city and succeeded in creating a contrast with any other existing place in the country. After three years living in India I got used to most of the things that typically bothers foreigners as unregulated traffic, the incessant honking of two, three and four wheelers and a discrete level of dirt that characterise metro cities like Bangalore or Mumbai, so the feeling of positive surprise I had visiting Chandigar was probably higher than what it is for a typical tourist. The work of Le Corbusier makes the city an extremely photographable location, perfect in its aesthetics and combination of nature and architectural materials.
